This fish tank is based on aquaponics technology ,in which dirt is not needed for plantation.Instead,the lava rocks are used for grow bed.The flooding and draining of grow bed is purposely designed.This particular water cycling does not just filter out waste in the water but also brings oxygen into grow bed for nitrobacteria.
